Important Notice Regarding Your Domain Name(s)

Did you receive an Email from us with the subject "Important Notice Regarding Your Domain Name(s)" ?

The email is a legitimate communication sent to all registered domain owners on our behalf.

Background

This email is your annual notice that any registered domain names must have accurate and up to date contact information on record.  Inaccurate or outdated information must be corrected by logging into your account and making the necessary changes. While we do respect your privacy, we are required by ICANN, our regulating authority, to send these notices annually to all domain contacts. To learn more about this process and why it is required, please visit ICANN’s website.

Please remember that under the terms of your registration agreement, providing false or inaccurate Whois (contact) information may result in the cancellation of your domain name registration.

What do I need to do?

Review the contact information on your account and make any changes to your name and/or address and phone number.  If the information provided on your account is current and up to date you may discard the notice.

To review your information you can log into your account here. We use the primary contact information provided on your account as the domain registrant (owner).  You can make changes to your contact information at any time there is a change so you do not have to wait for the annual reminders.

Note: in order to keep your personal information private we generally hide your registrant information from the public.  The owner listed as the primary on your account is the legal registrant and owner for the domain.

Fraud and Scams

Please note that if you receive ANY other communication from anyone besides myself (StrataCorps, LLC) asking you to update your account information or renew your domain we ask that you scrutenize the information carefully and contact us if you have any questions.  There are several scams that mislead domain owners to unwittingly transfer their domains to unscrupulous businesses.  The ONLY communication regarding domains managed by StrataCorps will come from direclty from StrataCorps.com.  WE DO NOT send letters through the POST OFFICE asking you to renew and update your domain information.

If you receive a letter from the likes of "Domain Registry of America" DO NOT respond.  If we are helping you to manage your domain(s) you will receive an Email from us when it is time to renew.  Domain Registry of America attempts to confuse the consumer and obfuscate the fact that they are attempting to transfer your domains to them at very high prices.  Please research any correspondence or phone calls that you receive and always contact me for assistance if you have any questions.
